Using targeted exercises, to build up strength and mobility both before and after surgery, helping to ensure a quick and safe recovery.

Pre-surgery strengthening

Pilates to improve movement and build muscle strength before surgery. The better prepared you are, the more strenght you can build up before surgery and the better you know the exercises, the quicker your recovery.

Post-surgery recovery

Gentle pilates to start stabilising, mobilising and strengthening the muscles around the joint again. We will start with low level impact exercises, and gradually increase in intensity and resistance as you recover.

Specialisms

Although I can create specialist programmes for any part of the body, I have created some specialist online courses to aid in the recovery from knee and hip surgery. These have been developed with a physio, friends and family, are tried and tested with proven results… just ask my dad!!
